Night Dives

After a night dive, you may find diving in daylight boring!

You've gotta see this to believe it! While the fish are hiding, the invertebrates are prowling. You see shells, lobsters, crabs, octopus, nudibranchs, and eels hunting! If you are a photographer, night time is when you can get REALLY close to your subject. Once you try night diving you may find day diving too tame!

This is a one tank shore dive, with guaranteed small group size. By yourself? No problem! We will accommodate as few as a single diver up to four divers. Offered nightly, this dive is easy to fit into your schedule.

Nitrox is available upon request. All dives are guided tours, lead by CORA/Maui County permitted guides. Dive lights and all dive gear are included.

Departure time varies depending on the time of year.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I have done an intro dive can I do a night dive?

  • No, you must be open water certified to do a night dive.
Are the night dives 1 or 2 tanks?
  • They are 1 tank but you can book a two tank twilight/night dive.
Where do you go for night dives and are they on the boat?
  • The best spots for night dives are Black Rock or Mala Ramp. All our night dives are done in groups of four or less and are shore dives. We do not cancel if you are the only person booked that night. We love night diving.
Why are Black Rock and Mala the best spots for a night dive?
  • There is no boat traffic at those spots and the marine life is abundant and diverse. You can expect to see squid, octopus, lobsters, and more.
Where do I meet for the night dive?
  • For all shore dives we meet at Extended Horizons dive shop, 94 Kupuohi Street, Unit A-1, Lahaina.
