Experience authentic Polynesian music and food in a spectacular show with the reverberating beat of drums, Hawaiian chants, and traditional dance.

As the conch sounds and the torches are lit on the Sunset Terrace of the Hyatt Regency, embark on an exciting journey through the Polynesian islands. Polynesian culture demands that visitors be are welcomed as guests, treated well, fed well and greeted with songs and dances; a luau is an expression of hospitality.

Accompanied by the exotic flavors of Polynesian cuisine and traditional imu (buried pig) ceremony, Drums of the Pacific shows the contrast of island cultures, from the lyrical Hawaiian hula, to the pulsating drum dances of Tahiti, to the spectacular Samoan fire-knife dance in one of the hottest shows in Ka’anapali.

Luau Includes:
  • Lei greeting and fruit punch or fresh mai tais for every guest
  • Charming Hawaiian music and Hula dance performances
  • Traditional torch lighting ceremony
  • Unveiling of Kalua Pua'a, the main dish, along with an authentic imu ceremony.
  • Polynesian fashion shows including the island’s exotic sarong (pareaus) donned in creative and unique styles.
  • An opportunity to learn to Hula on stage
  • The lavish Polynesian buffet including Huli Huli Chicken, Imu Kalua Pork, Macadamia crust fish, Makamaka vegetables, Polynesian fried rice, Molokai sweet potato, Soba noodle salad, creamed taro and leaf in coconut milk, fresh tropical fruits, Pacific ahi poke, Lomi Lomi salmon, mixed salads, roasted Maui onions and taro rolls with whipped lilikoi butte.
  • Keiki (kids) menu: penne marinara and chicken nuggets
  • Delicious dessert cafe featuring Haupia and toasted coconut, Macadamia cream and nut brownies, bread pudding and an upside down pineapple cake.
  • Open bar with wine, beer, mai tais, mixed cocktails and fruit punch.
  • Crafts demonstrations and a conventional art exhibition
Top reasons to go: You will love the exotic food and on-stage entertainment. Great luau for kids since they will love getting up and doing the Hula on stage and will be mesmerized the amazing fire-knife dancing.
