Molokini Crater
Molokini is Maui's #1 snorkeling destination. Its crystal clear water, beautiful fish and unique scenery make Molokini epic for snorkeling and diving activities year around. Molokini is located 3 miles off the coast of South Maui. It is a Hawaii state marine life conservation district, home to more than 250 species of fish, many of which are endemic to this location. Manta rays, eels, harmless white tip and gray reef sharks also frequent the area. Molokini is also a bird sanctuary.
Turtle Town
South Maui Turtle town is located off the Kihei shoreline near the area referred to as Makena Landing. Turtle Town is said to be a cleaning station for the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. A turtles shell can be over run by algae and other parasitic marine life. Regular cleaning is essential to their health and well being. Here turtles relax and have their shells cleaned by the local angelfish, tangs, wrasse and other algae eating fish that live amongst the coral.
Underwater cameras
Obviously pictures are a must on your Molokini snorkel adventure. How about underwater pictures? Look no further. We rent the high quality Olympus Tough underwater digital camera right on the boat. At 16 megapixels, these cameras offer unlimited video and still photos and are excellent at capturing fish, turtle and family members for later display on your Facebook page. $40 Rental Fee, includes DVD with all your pictures and video.
Wetsuits
Our 3mm wetsuits are not only great for keeping warm during snorkeling, they are also great flotation devices and they provide 100% uv sun protection. No need to reserve one early. We have plenty available on the boat. $10 for adults and children.
Glassbottom
Quicksilver features 4 glass viewing panels so you can see the marine life right through the bottom of the boat. This is a great option for people who do not intend on getting in the water but still want to take a peek at the reef. On rare occasions whales have been seen swimming under the boat on our whale watch tours.
Waterslide
Need a quick way into the water? Do your kids need entertainment? Look no further than the Quicksilver's waterslide. Its is located on the back of the boat next to our easy staircase into and out of the water so you and your kids can go around and around, down the slide and up the stairs, repeat to infinity and beyond!
