My husband and I went on the adults only sunset cocktail cruise in Feb 2018 and it was great. The boat is large and spacious catamaran-style boat which made for more of a sail feel instead of a large vessel. The staff was awesome, the food was good and the drinks were plentiful. It was a fun and relaxing atmosphere to see whales and enjoy the beautiful coastline of Maui. Was a bit of an older crowd (we were amount the youngest and we are in our early 30's) but would definitely recommend for adults wanting a quieter experience vs. a large whale watching crowd on a big ship.
We did the adult sunset cruise on a Friday evening. Perfect night. The captain and the other hosts were excellent. The food and drink portions were just right. My only recommendation is to give the ukulele guy more of a rest. Some of that music is fine and in keeping with the setting, but it seemed he played pretty constantly. Some quiet moments in between would be nice. Don't get me wrong, he had a nice voice, and some of the songs he played were beautiful, one in particular that I really liked.
