Limo-van tour. View the spectacular sunrise atop Haleakala, Maui's 10,023 ft. dormant volcano, as you photograph stunning multi-island views. After sunrise, enjoy a delightful run-of-the-menu breakfast (vegan and vegetarian entree available).


The day begins with complimentary pick-up between 3:00 and 3:30AM via exclusive, 6 - 8 guest, luxury limo-van. To capture all the beauty that is Sunrise at Haleakala, we travel directly to Haleakala National Park and the crater summit. Start the day, on top of the World, at majestic Pu'u Ula Ula, (Red Hill), the pinnacle of Haleakala, at 10,023 feet. Light morning snack is served, prior to sunrise. First Light reveals a pallet of golden pastel hues plus a 360 degree view encompassing the Big Island of Hawai'i, West Maui, Lana'i, Moloka'i and beyond. The House of the Sun visitor's center, offers breathtaking panoramas from the rim of the Crater.  Keep an eye out for Silverswords - endemic plants only found within the National Park on the slopes of Haleakala!  There are numerous photo opportunities while descending this mountain drive. Guests learn, in-depth, about the native Hawaiian people, their culture and land from an entertaining and knowledgeable tour guide. 

Complementing to this invigorating experience is a run-of-the-menu breakfast at a charming Upcountry restaurant.

Also during this memorable day, guests have a chance to visit an Upcountry protea garden, to see these ancient and exotic flowers. There are over 1500 types of protea, 90 of which grow on Maui. Protea thrive in the cool, dry weather. The majority of protea grow on the southwestern facing slopes of Haleakala. These long lasting beauties were a favorite of French empress Josephine, (Napoleon's wife), and might capture your heart as well. Returning at a Maui-style pace, takes us through the vibrant agricultural region of Upcountry Maui.  Tour Returns: 10:30 - 11:30am.

How many guests do your Limo-Vans accommodate?
We offer first cabin seating for 6 to 8 guests per Limo-Van. All guests enjoy more comfort space than any other tour company on Maui. Our Limo-Vans feature supersized windows, dual air conditioning, stereo around- sound and spacious head room.

Is food served on your tours?
Delicious food is served on every tour with Temptation Tours. Authentic Hawaiian meals are prepared fresh daily with locally grown fruits and vegetables. A vegetarian entree is available upon request. For more specific information, please click on individual tour.

Do your tours include waterfall swim?
Every Hana tour has a waterfall swim with freshwater pools. There are places to change into your bathing suits. The Hana tours are Hana Sky-Trek, Hana Picnic and Cave-Quest.

How should I dress for the Haleakala Sunrise Tour?
Dress in layers for the Sunrise Tour. Bring a jacket or sweater along and wear long pants. Closed toed shoes with socks will keep you warm and safe. If possible bring a blanket or beach towel. Be prepared for true volcanic beauty in dawn pastels!
